How We Met

Our story began two years ago in the most unexpected way — online! What started as a casual connection through a shared interest quickly revealed something far greater. From our very first conversation, it felt as though we’d known each other for a lifetime. Every message exchanged unearthed more shared values, dreams, and humor than we ever imagined. What began as simple chats blossomed into a love story that neither of us saw coming, but both of us knew was meant to be.

Our First Date

Our first official date was at 1861 Kitchen Bourbon Bar in Middletown — a night that will always hold a special place in our hearts. The intimate ambiance, incredible food, and flowing conversation created an experience we’d never forget. There was laughter, a spark, and an unspoken understanding that something truly special was taking root. By the end of the night, it was clear — we were no longer just two strangers with shared interests. From that point on, we were inseparable.

The Proposal

On September 21, 2024, Jerry turned his birthday celebration into the surprise of a lifetime. Surrounded by our closest family and friends, we gathered to honor him. Ayanna believed the day was all about Jerry — but he had something else in mind. After opening his birthday gifts and soaking in all the love and attention, Jerry shifted the spotlight. In a moment full of love and anticipation, he got down on one knee and asked Ayanna the most important question of their lives. Through tears of joy and a heart bursting with happiness, she said, “Yes!” It was a moment filled with surprise, celebration, and pure love — the perfect beginning to our forever story.
